The Malta Studio is looking for talented individuals with a deep knowledge of Unreal Engine /Unity5(3 yrs minimum on Commercial Released Products) to work across a series of projects for VR.

Requirements

• A strong passion for computer games programming.
• Excellent programming skills in UE4/Unity with a deep understanding of OOP and coding best practices.
• Experience and understanding of programming for Console, PC or VR
• A strong track record with a portfolio of commercial (released) game titles you can show us.
• A clear understanding of the particular challenges in game development, such as art workflow, performances optimisation, memory management and supporting multiple platforms.
• Strong maths and Physic skills.
• HTC VIVE, PsVr and Oculus Rift Development Experience is a big plus

Job Title: Producer

Salary: € 24k to €30k (DOE)

Job Description

Producers at PlayMagic work closely with designers, artists and programmers to organize and coordinate the game development process. A Producer’s number one priority within the development structure is to make sure everyone else can get their job done. This means a no nonsense approach to problem solving with daily communication with and working to support all the members of the team in task management and scheduling challenges.
Requirements and Tasks:

  • Working in the trenches with Artists, Designers, QA and Programmers tracking tasks and helping the developers stay on schedule
  • Supporting the Executive Producer in every aspect of development, from scheduling and management of the internal team to dealing with outside publishers and licensors
  • Coordinating the QA and testing effort during production
  • Contributing to the production process and helping refine production pipelines
-Being a product knowledge base for the entire team
  • Communicating to individual team members and contributors in various departments, other producers, and management on the status of live issues, tasks, features, and projects

What you need to work here:


  • Minimum 3 years in the video game industry, working in production or product development
  • Proven industry experience as a producer preferably on  AAA titles.
- Superb communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to exercise good judgment in fast-paced work environments, sometimes with competing priorities.
  • Flexibility and initiative, together with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • A passion for games and the ability to talk about why you think they are fun
-Be able to talk art, design and software without pretending

• Fine and Digital Art Degree or similar.

Job Title: Lead Game Designer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Game Designer with at least 3 shipped title (preferably Console)  to take responsibility for the design and gameplay for our VR, PC and Console projects. You will own and devise new game concepts working alongside code, art, audio, writing and production team member.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience of taking a game from concept to submission and have strong documentation skills.

• At least 3 commercial Shipped title (AAA Console)
• Very good at writing in fluent English.
• Love for videogames
